Navigating the court system can be confusing and intimidating, especially when you're representing yourself. While the court provides a self-help office, its hands are tied. They can give you forms and define legal terms, but they cannot guide you through the process, leaving many people feeling lost and without a voice.
That’s where Pro Se Support Services (PSSS) comes in. We are an independent non-profit dedicated to providing direct, hands-on support for individuals representing themselves in court.
We believe everyone deserves to be heard, and we are here to help you every step of the way.

Unlike court staff, who can only provide basic procedural information, PSSS can offer a new level of assistance:
Direct Assistance: We'll sit with you and provide assistance to help you fill out complex court forms correctly and completely.
Strategic Guidance: We can help you understand the logical flow of your case, organize your evidence, and prepare for a hearing, ensuring you're ready to present your case confidently.
Document Preparation: We can provide a service to help you draft and prepare necessary documents, so you can be sure they meet court standards.
Holistic Support: We can research and provide referrals to other local organizations that can help with underlying issues like housing, employment, or domestic violence, creating a complete support system for you and your family.
The court's self-help office provides the map and the key to legal terms, but Pro Se Support Services is your guide who helps you navigate the journey, from planning your route to making sure you have everything you need to succeed.
